Wheel Bearing and Engine Accessory Grease
AEROSHELL Grease 5 is a general aviation
grease suitable for wheel bearings and high speed applications including
magnetos, generators and starters.
Microgel thickened, mineral oil base
AeroShell Grease 5 combines high load-carrying ability with excellent resistance
to water and high temperatures. Aeroshell Grease 5 is inhibited against
corrosion and oxidation, and has a useful temperature range of -23°C to + 177°C.
Aeroshell Grease 5 is used primarily in aircraft wheel bearings and engine
accessories operating at high speeds and relatively high temperatures.
AeroShell Grease 5 is high temperature aircraft wheel bearing and engine
accessory grease. It is made with high viscosity base oil and a Microgel
non-melting inorganic thickener, providing excellent load carrying ability and
resistance to water washout. AeroShell Grease 5 is increasingly being used in
high temperature industrial applications, such as drying ovens. AeroShell Grease
5 is qualified under the former MIL-G-3545 (obsolete) specification, which is superseded by MIL-PRF-81322
